All computer classes at Goddard require the students be proficient in keyboarding. Current levels are the following:
6th grade 20 wpm
7th grade 25 wpm
8th grade 30 wpm
Every Wednesday, students are given a 10 minute typing quiz . Results are then graphed to show progress. Students needing additional practice can using Room 235 before school or during lunch.
Currently we use the following three typing programs in the classroom:

school site license required-Computer department can install on staff and classroom computers for student use
Bruce's Unusual Typing Wizard -excellent program. Staff can download free and install.
Learn2Type- Goddard has a 9 month advertising-free license. Ask computer department for the password. This is all on-line and needs no downloading
