We love volunteers.
We need help for various activites starting with August schedule pickup to Fall magazine sales to our all-school parties to 8th grade continuation in May.
We will continue to use our online volunteer system for Goddard this year. Last year this seemed to be a great way to communicate with volunteers.
Like last year, you will be able to view your information online, let us know which volunteer opportunities you would like to help with, and when you are available to volunteer.
You can sign up in our new system by going to this link: http://goddardms.ptomanager.com/index.html At the bottom right corner of the screen, you will see a box that says “New PTO Manager user? Click here to register”. On the next screen, follow the instructions to type in your email address and a password that will be easy for you to remember.
You will then see a page entitled Volunteer Information where you can provide your email address, phone numbers, address, etc. Be sure to note: you may opt out of receiving emails from us and/or choose not to be included in the directory.
Next, click on Step 2 (Volunteer Interests). Here, you can check the activities, interests, or resources that apply to you. Once you complete this page, you will not need to complete the sign-up form in this packet.
You can see more information about any of the choices by clicking on the selection. A description will then appear so that you can choose the options that are of most interest to you. If you’d like, you can also let us know when you can be available to volunteer on this screen so that we can honor your preferences.
Step 3 (Student Information) provides the ability to input information about your student(s) at Goddard Middle School. Click “New student”, then type in the first and last name of your child and select his/her class from the drop down list.
When you have completed filling in the information, click Save at the bottom right corner. You will receive an e-mail confirming your login information. The e-mail will also contain information about how you can return to the website to update your information.
This system will enable us to keep track of those who would like to volunteer at Goddard, and will make it possible for you to be involved in the activities in which you are most interested. The data is secure and private; it will only be used by our PTO and will not be accessible by those outside LPS.
Just a reminder: If you choose to sign up for volunteer opportunities using this new online service, you do not need to fill out and return the directory form or the PTO Volunteer Form, which is included in this packet.
