 About Goddard

Goddard Middle School is the second largest of the four middle schools in the Littleton Public School District, serves nearly 820 students and includes a staff of eighty.  Many of our staff members are State Teachers of the Year and have been selected to be included in Who's Who in Among America's Teachers.

Our goals are to prepare students for an ever-changing world, to support the development of confident and caring young people and to model life-long learning. The school is composed of three neighborhoods with teams of Core teachers. Core and elective teachers integrate learning within the neighborhood during the student's three years at Goddard Middle School. Students have numerous opportunities for meaningful learning experiences, to develop self-respect and responsibility, to think critically, and to be assessed in multiple ways.

 School Goal

To create a high-performing school that supports continuous learning, pride in individual accomplishment, and growth toward independence and social responsibility.

Welcome to Our New Principal-Mr. Bryan Breuer Minimize

 Dear Goddard Families,

I am incredibly humbled and excited to be named the next principal of Goddard Middle School. I am passionate about middle school students and look forward to serving you. Goddard is a great school with a long history of strong leadership and centered in a wonderful community. In my visits to Goddard, I have felt the family culture, the high expectations and relentless focus on student achievement. I have had the opportunity to meet with Kathleen Ambron and will continue to do so regularly throughout this transition. Kathleen has been a leadership rock in the Goddard School Community and I feel fortunate to join a school that is in such a good place and primed to keep moving forward.

My personal background snapshot includes moving to Colorado in 1995 shortly after graduating from college in Wisconsin. I was drawn to the mountains by my passions for skiing and mountain biking. My wife, Nicole is a school social worker and we have two amazing kids who are in elementary school. I fully understand all of the celebrations and struggles that go along with being a parent.

I am honored to lead Goddard through the coming years of ever-changing challenges. Leading in the world of public education has become an increasingly complex and challenging position. I have had many diverse leadership opportunities throughout my tenure in education. My journey started as a middle school teacher for five years prior to moving into an assistant principal role. As an assistant principal for five years, I was fortunate to learn and lead alongside and incredibly talented principal. From that experience, I gained a principalship at Ranch View Middle School in Douglas County. I served as principal for six years and developed systems to improve achievement that led to significant gains in our students’ learning. Simultaneously, we fostered an exceptionally positive school culture and climate built on professionalism and trust. For the last two years I have been working in senior leadership positions at central office; most recently recruiting, selecting and developing principals for the diverse needs of Denver Public Schools. These recent experiences have continued to reinforce that being a middle school principal is my true calling. It’s time to put my energy back where I get it – with kids and teachers.

I look forward to getting to know you, learning about your family and supporting your child’s educational needs. I believe the community has made significant contributions to the success of Goddard. Together, we will continue to build off of these successes and evolve to meet the demands that are placed on our school. We will maintain a safe environment in which all students can capitalize on their strengths and become open-minded responsible citizens after they graduate from our school system. I will be spending as much time at Goddard as my schedule allows throughout the transition, including attending the Goddard Accountability Committee Meeting on May 6th at 3:15 PM. I’m confident we’ll hit the ground running in the new school year.

Thank you for welcoming me to the Goddard family and I look forward to meeting you soon.

Bryan Breuer Principal – Summer 2013

Coming soon, parents will be able to access all Fall school registration materials through this link.

The Family Portal enables parents to access a confidential and secure website that contains information about their students including (Each school in the district can determine which areas of the portal are available to parents and students):

A student does not have the ability to request changes to your address, phone number and contact information.

Some teachers monitor the portal activity of their students.

What should I do if I have students in different schools?

Once you have a portal account, you’ll see all of your students.

 PR Squared Minimize

PBS turns the traditional approach to school discipline on its head in that it focuses on teaching, acknowledging and celebrating positive behavior rather than simply punishing negative behavior. In other words… “Good!”

Goddard’s own spin on the PBS approach is “program developed by students andstaff. The goal of the program is to improve behavior in “problem” areas such as school hallways, playgrounds, classrooms and the bus, Goddard students came up with a set of guidelines for what they consider to be Positive, Responsible and Respectful behavior in each area.

Goddard students are PR 2. To read more about PR 2 click here.
